The hearing of an alleged 480 billion methamphetamine laboratory case took a decisive shift on Wednesday as Justice M. M. Kakaki of the Federal High Court, Lagos, moved the courtroom to the suspected facility in Mowe Village, Ijebu East Local Government Area, Ogun State.
The move is for locus in quo for an inspection of the forest that allegedly housed the notorious laboratory where the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said it uncovered 2,419.48 kilograms of drugs valued at 480 billion at the street value.

They all pleaded no guilty. The first prosecution witness and laboratory expert at NDLEA, Ajilema Anebi testified about the type of equipment found at the laboratory.

Meanwhile, NDLEA counsel applied for the court’s permission to demolish the building after collecting necessary samples and evidence. Justice Kakaki adjourned the ruling on the application and other hearing to July 24.
