President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mourned the death of the former Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel and General Overseer of the All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM), Rev. Dr. William Okoye.
In a statement released on Thursday, President Tinubu expressed deep regret over the passing of the devoted cleric who, he said, left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of many through his preaching and service.

The President recalled Rev. Okoye’s exemplary dedication to the propagation of the gospel, fostering Christian unity and offering spiritual counsel to leaders and individuals in all walks of life. He emphasized the late minister’s profound faith, commitment to righteousness and advocacy for Nigeria’s progress as attributes that earned him universal acclaim in religious and public life.
Tinubu also acknowledged the service rendered by Rev.
Okoye as the Aso Villa Chaplain, through which he ministered to a series of governments while championing the ideals of peace, empathy, and selfless service to others.

President Tinubu extended his profound sympathies to the Okoye family, the leadership and members of the ACFM, and the entire Christian family on the passing of their cherished spiritual father. “May the soul of the departed be granted eternal rest, and may God provide the strength and comfort for the bereaved family, congregation and well-wishers to endure this trying moment,” the President prayed.
