Zinedine Zidane has been named the new head coach of the France men’s national football team, and he has reportedly signed a four-year deal with the French Football Federation (FFF).
The 1998 World Cup winner is replacing Didier Deschamps, whose successful 11-year spell at the helm of Les Bleus is coming to an end.
Zidane, a France icon from his playing days, moves into the national team job after an impressive managerial stint at Real Madrid, where he secured three Champions League titles and two Spanish league crowns.

“This appointment is part of our long-term vision to continue building the France team on the back of our recent international successes and ensure the squad is well prepared to compete for titles in upcoming major tournaments,” FFF president Noel Le Graët said in a statement.
