In good news for the United States, the forward Folarin Balogun is free to take part in their 2026 World Cup Round of 16 game against Belgium as his one-game red card ban has been suspended by FIFA.

The forward was always expected to miss this knockout game, after being sent off during the group stages, but he will now not have to miss any further games and has been made available to feature in a major match for the USA at the tournament.

Balogun could potentially offer a significant option up front for the US against a team ranked among the best in Europe, as his head coach Mauricio Pochettino is trying to figure out how to get a win in one of the USA’s toughest games.

The AS Monaco forward was an important player throughout the group stage for the United States and gave a lively and pacy option to his manager, as well as providing goals too.

The US managed to come through the group stages impressively, just like Belgium who also secured a passage into the Round of 16 with a pair of eye-catching wins, so this promises to be one of the biggest games of the next stage.
