A socio-political group, Kwara South Consultative Forum (KSCF), has blasted Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) over its condemnation of Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a Sunday Igboho, calling on the union to keep mum during recent attacks that resulted in the deaths of monarchs in Kwara South.
Speaking to the recent public denouncement of Igboho by IEDPU for alleged interference in security related issues affecting some areas in Kwara State, KSCF stated that there has been no public criticism on the killings of some monarchs in Kwara South nor any other incidents of brutality by the union.

In a statement, KSCF questioned the IEDPU’s present outrage over Igboho’s comments while keeping silent during previous killings and mayhem in the area, saying efforts should be concentrated on combating incessant security problems in the state rather than attacking individuals discussing the issue.
The group called for collaborative efforts from stakeholders in the state against the escalating insecurity to aid existing security agents protect lives and properties in the state.

It will be recalled that there have been concerns in some quarters in Kwara State over the rise in insecurity in the state, and the role of some self-determination advocates.
