The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, Chief Lucky Abuah, has expressed confidence that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s performance in office will remain a major factor in the political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.

Abuah stated that the administration had recorded significant achievements across the state under the MORE Agenda, adding that government officials and supporters would continue to take the message of its programmes and projects to the people.

Speaking while addressing APC supporters, Abuah urged youths to remain peaceful and law-abiding, stressing that political activities should not be characterized by confrontation, intimidation or violence.

According to him, APC supporters should focus on promoting what he described as the achievements and reforms of the government of our working Governor rather than engaging in any clashes with members of other political parties who do not have any performance score cards to campaigns with.

He maintained that the ruling party has a record of performance to present to voters, while encouraging party faithful to continue highlighting government projects and policies across the state.

The Governor’s aide also advised opposition supporters and political actors to conduct their activities within the bounds of the law, emphasizing that political competition should never degenerate into violence or acts capable of threatening public peace.

Abuah warned that no individual who violates the law would be shielded from accountability, regardless of political affiliation, adding that government remains committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for all residents of the state.

He called on political leaders, candidates, youth groups, community stakeholders and supporters to caution their followers and ensure that campaigns and political engagements across Delta State are conducted peacefully.

“No election, political ambition or party interest is worth the life of any Deltan,” he said, urging politicians to compete on the basis of ideas, programmes and performance rather than violence.

Abuah further stated that youths aligned with the ruling party are committed to peaceful campaigns and the promotion of the administration’s achievements. He commended the efforts of Governor Oborevwori and local government chairmen across the state, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects ahead of future elections.

He reiterated the need for tolerance, mutual respect and adherence to democratic principles as political activities gradually gather momentum across the state.
