Chief Matthew Adigwu yesterday was honoured with a prestigious traditional chieftaincy title, Ebube Agu Na-Eche Agu 1 of Idumu-Ogo by HRM Obi Otiegede 3rd of Idumu-Ogo Kingdom in recognition of his standing and contributions to the community.
The ceremony, held at Idumu-Ogo Town in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, attracted family members, friends, Traditional rulers, dignitaries such as Chief Okwuofu, the Agwunwani 1 of Obomkpa, Hon Ikechukwu Nwoko (JP) and the Commissioner, Science and Technology, Hon Daniel Odinigwe and well-wishers, who gathered to witness the formal conferment and celebrate the historic occasion.
Speaking during an interview, Adigwu expressed his joy and gratitude to the people of the community for the honour bestowed on him, describing the chieftaincy title as both a great privilege and a responsibility to serve his people.

He said the recognition had further strengthened his commitment to contributing to the development and progress of the community, assuring the people that they should look forward to meaningful contributions from him.
Adigwu pledged to live up to the responsibilities that come with the title and ensure that the confidence reposed in him by the community would not be in vain.
Reception was held at Idumu – Ogo Primary School.
Also speaking, Chief Akwudiunor Goziem described Adigwu as a humble, God-fearing, supportive and community-minded individual whose character and commitment have earned him the respect and admiration of many.

He noted that Adigwu has consistently demonstrated concern for the welfare of the people and has contributed meaningfully to the growth and development of the community.
Futhermore, the brother to the celebrant, Engr Emeke Adigwu commended Adigwu for his willingness to support community initiatives and his positive relationship with residents, describing his contributions as a reflection of his dedication to the progress, unity and overall well-being of the community.
