Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, declared he would be victorious in the 2026 governorship election with assurance his government’s achievements having given people confidence in his leadership style.
Ahead of the August 15 governorship election, the governor stated the successes his administration had recorded across infrastructural development, education, health, and social welfare as well as the general well-being of the people of Osun would be the platform where his re-election campaign would be anchored.

Adeleke vowed that voters would reward the achievements recorded by his government at the polls when the time comes, whilst calling on the residents of the state to actively and peacefully participate in the election.
Security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were also tasked with ensuring a free and fair election in the state.

The governorship election in Osun is set to be of high political importance, as the major political parties increase campaigns for the August 15 governorship election with weeks to go to the election.
