The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, Chief Lucky Blessing Abuah, has urged Delta youths to support Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s second-term bid, citing the administration’s infrastructural achievements, youth-focused programmes, and people-oriented policies.
Chief Abuah, who is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hen-Ric Empire Garden Ltd, made the call while assessing the performance of the Oborevwori administration under its MORE Agenda.
According to him, the governor has demonstrated strong commitment to the development of Delta State through strategic infrastructure projects and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of citizens, particularly young people.
He noted that several landmark projects underway across the state have transformed communities, boosted economic activities, and improved residents’ quality of life.
Among the projects highlighted by Abuah are the ongoing Warri-Effurun flyover and road projects being executed by Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, which he described as major interventions to ease traffic congestion and stimulate economic growth in the oil-rich axis.
He also commended the administration for constructing the N39.3 billion Otovwodo Flyover in Ughelli and proposing the Uromi Junction Flyover in Agbor, noting that the projects would strengthen the state’s transportation network and support commerce.
The Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation further pointed to numerous road construction and drainage projects spread across the state’s 25 local government areas, saying they had improved accessibility, enhanced rural-urban connectivity, and opened up communities for economic development.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown through action that he is committed to the progress and prosperity of Delta State. The numerous infrastructure projects and social intervention programmes being executed across the state are visible evidence of purposeful leadership, Abuah said.
He stressed that the governor’s investments in infrastructure, youth empowerment, job creation, and community development had positioned the state on a path of sustainable growth.
Chief Abuah therefore urged Delta youths to remain united and continue supporting the administration, adding that continuity would enable the governor to consolidate the gains already recorded and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people.
He expressed confidence that, with sustained support from the electorate, Governor Oborevwori would build on the successes of his first tenure and accelerate the development of Delta State.
The SSA on Youth Mobilisation reaffirmed his commitment to engaging and mobilising young people across the state in support of policies and programmes that promote peace, development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive governance.
