Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of deliberately delaying the publication of results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election.
In a post on X, Davido alleged that the delay could provide an opportunity for manipulation and urged INEC to upload the outstanding result sheets within 30 minutes.

He claimed his campaign’s technology team had monitored 470 polling units, saying 3,292 results had already been accounted for, with 470 remaining.
“INEC, DELAY only means one thing: Buying time for Manipulation,” Davido wrote, while calling on the commission to “do the right thing” by uploading the outstanding result sheets.
However, the allegation remains Davido’s claim and has not been independently established. INEC has previously pledged that the Osun election results would reflect the will of voters and that the commission would maintain transparency and compliance with electoral law.

Live reporting from the election has also shown that polling-unit results are being uploaded to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal as the collation process continues.
The development comes amid heightened political tensions surrounding the election, with concerns over result transmission and electoral integrity already prominent ahead of the poll.
