Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, marking a new chapter in their relationship after nearly a decade together.

The 41-year-old Portuguese football star and the 32-year-old Spanish-Argentine model confirmed the marriage on social media on August 11, 2026, sharing a photograph of their hands displaying their wedding rings.

The couple began their relationship in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship became public the following year, and they went on to build a family together while maintaining a high-profile presence in international sports and entertainment.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez became engaged in August 2025, when Rodríguez announced the news publicly with a photograph of her engagement ring. The wedding followed roughly a year later, after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

The couple have five children in their household: Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr., twins Eva and Mateo, and their daughters Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda. They also endured the loss of Bella’s twin brother, Ángel, shortly after birth in 2022.

The wedding itself was deliberately kept away from the spotlight. Reports describe it as an intimate ceremony in Portugal, with the couple choosing to share the news themselves rather than stage a major public celebration.

Ronaldo, who remains captain of Portugal and a forward for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, is one of football’s most recognisable figures. Rodríguez has also built an international profile as a model, entrepreneur and television personality through projects including Netflix’s I Am Georgina.

The marriage brings formal closure to a relationship that has remained one of football’s most closely followed celebrity partnerships, evolving from their meeting in Madrid into a family life spanning Europe and Saudi Arabia.
